The Leadership Grid Seminar

The Power to Change.

The Power to Change begins with Leadership. The first step to organization change is leaders better understanding their own leadership style, other leadership styles, and key leadership skills. That's why the Leadership Grid Seminar immerses participants in the skills that have been empowering organization change for over 40 years. Today, these skills have become the celebrated fabric of corporate and institutional leadership. At Grid we're proud to have been the first to recognize and successfully implement these skills for the benefit of individuals and organizations throughout the world.

Participants in Leadership Grid Seminars develop and strengthen:

  • Their self awareness
  • The ability to work soundly with others to maximize results
  • A willingness to embrace change
  • The courage and skills to resolve conflict
  • Vision to stimulate progress
  • Making consensus decisions
  • The skills for continuous improvement
Many participants in our Leadership Grid Seminar say it was the most powerful and unique seminar they have ever taken. In a survey of over 2,000 participants, including many top business leaders, 99 percent (yes, 99 percent!) said they would recommend the seminar to a colleague or friend. It 's not likely you will have experienced anything like this. The Leadership Grid Seminar truly opens up a new world to many organization leaders.

Then, once individual leadership skills have become soundly developed, the Grid focus turns to team building, where relationship excellence is explored through enhanced team performance.

"This was an absolutely outstanding concept. The Grid seminar gave me the knowledge of how to enact change at the organizational level and personal level. All should attend!"
Brian Walton, District Manager, A & P Canada

The GridWorks Seminar

Maximizing Resources with Grid Solutions

GridWorks capitalizes on the value of all employees by helping to extend the theories of the Leadership Grid Seminar throughout the entire organization. GridWorks helps employees learn about what it means to be a part of an operational team and about developing personal standards of performance. Participants work in teams to study issues that include practicing critique, gathering information, expressing opinions, making decisions, and resolving conflict.

When everyone in an organization speaks the same language and has a practical understanding of the differences between sound and unsound behavior, an organization creates the opportunity to bring about lasting change.

The Supervisory Grid Seminar

Participation, involvement, and commitment to
promoting the best possible solutions

The Supervisory Grid Seminar is the first step to answering the question: What accounts for the varying degrees of effectiveness among supervisors? Many supervisors have not had the opportunity to see the range of options for sound supervision. They are doing all they know how to do and are simply unaware of what truly effective supervision looks like. Part of the reason is a failure to recognize alternative strategies for key features of supervision like resolving conflict, effective delegation, sound decision making, candor and openness, or trust and respect.

Another reason lies in the lack of objective insight into how behaviors impact relationships and bottom-line results. An important first step in rectifying this lack of insight is to learn exactly what effective supervision looks like in the day-to-day supervisory role. This "sound" model can then be compared with other kinds of supervision to help supervisors think about themselves and "how" they work with and through others to achieve results.

The Supervisory Grid Seminar targets how to strengthen the critical relationship between supervisor and employees. Where other Grid Personal Learning seminars focus on developing the lateral relationships, the Supervisory Grid targets the hierarchical relationship between supervisor and employees. Supervisors gain an in-depth understanding of how their personal style impacts employees and how to instill maximum commitment and performance, as well as specific improvement strategies to increase their own performance back on the job. Participants work in teams to develop and practice strategies for resolving conflict, setting goals, performance measurement, and other skills critical to effective supervision.
